Killing of woman in Glen Innes ‘unexplained’, police continue to investigate

Police are continuing to investigate an “unexplained” death of a 37-year-old woman in Auckland’s Glen Innes this morning. A post-mortem examination will be held at tomorrow.

Auckland Metro Police Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Armstrong said the woman’s body had found on a public walkway close Glen Innes train station this morning.

Police continue to make inquiries, the individual said.

“Police if you with the deceased’s next-of-kin.

“We are unable to comment further along the identity of the deceased at this stage until it is formal identification procedures are concluded. ”

The public pathway between Felton Mathew Ave the actual train station will remain closed until even more further notice, he said, although the facility remains open.

A person who performed in a building alongside the pathway said five or six police cars received at the scene and a forensics jeep with eight staff were functioning at the site.
