One person may well killed in a single-vehicle crash operating in North Otago.
Authorities were alerted to the crash on 3pm on Hampden-Palmerston Rd (State Highway 1) near Hillgrove.
Initially two people were affected and a helicopter was responding.
About 9pm police documented one of the people had since deceased from their injuries.
