Covid-19 coronavirus: Tragedy as Kiwi healthcare professional dies of Covid-19 at British isles hospital

Hacia senior Kiwi nurse in the urgent situation department at a hospital in England maintains died after contracting Covid-19.

New Zealander Barclay Mason, had worked at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, a location north of London, for more than 15 years.

Lance McCarthy, chief executive, at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, said he was a kind along with valued friend and colleague who was simply committed to caring for his patients.

“It is with great dismay that I confirm the death of Barclay Mason, a member of our emergency office team, who will be remembered as for his commitment to patient want, his kindness and as a priced friend and colleague to many around the Princess Alexandra Hospital, ” afterwards said.

“Barclay has been a senior charge nurse at the consultorio for over 20 years and his loss will be experienced the many colleagues from across PAHT and the East of England Mat service who worked with him.

“Barclay had been recently covered by the PAHT team for Covid-19.

“Our thoughts perhaps may be with Barclay’s family, friends as well as , colleagues at this sad time. type

The 56-year-old’s family said Barclay as “the most outstanding man” in their lives.

“The sadness we feel is more than words can express. The most amazing boyfriend in our life, father to our children, enjoys died.

“Originally based in New Zealand, Barclay had dealt with as a nurse for the NHS for countless years. He leaves behind committed colleagues and additionally friends who are shocked but which people continue to go to work every day with consideration and care for their patients, in the same way Barclay did.

“Colleagues and friends from the PAH Emergency Department and East of England Ambulance Service will hold a special place in our hearts as they end up Barclay’s UK family. ”

The family also shared a real Māori blessing in memory to Barclay:
