Emergency services all through North Island have been busy this week, with at least three separate sports car crashes all within an hour.
A witness says a motor vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier during the intersection of Broadway and Fenton Sts in Stratford.
Empire Hotel assistant manager Sarah Tasker said the Stratford crash appeared like a “ranch slider slamming sealed. ”
“There were originally three cop cars. The lady focus on her head on the windscreen. Your car is pretty messed up. I heard the actual noise that sounded like a rnch slider slammed shut. I was being served a beer when it happened, very well she says.
Saint John said two people were maintained to Taranaki Base Hospital during New Plymouth, one in serious precondition and the other in moderate status.
Police received a study at 4. 45pm that a nissan zx turbo has crashed into a building, a good solid Police spokesperson said.
Further north, Police responded to a crash involving a motorbike and a honda accord at around 4pm in Maungaturoto.
The crash position on Bickerstaffe Rd, a Criminal court spokesperson said.
“Ambulance and FENZ are also responding, ” the spokesperson said.
“It appears a person has been transferred to a rescue helicopter. ”
St John said a person was transported via helicopter returning to Northland Base hospital in Whangārei in moderate condition.
In the Far North, a person was most injured by a tractor in Mangonui.
Police were contacted to the scene at on Midgley Rd at around 4. 05pm.
An ambulance will attended to assess the person and harm was not serious, a Police a spokesperson said.
