Investigate suspended for missing surfer in the Pā pā moa Beach

This particular search for a missing surfer at Pāpāmoa Beach has been suspended.

A police spokeswoman told the search would not resume with further information.

”We have not received any reports pointing to any missing people. A shoreline search was completed today devoid of having result, ” the spokeswoman had to talk about.

But the police force were still interested to hear away from anyone who believed they had relevant material.

Earlier this afternoon, Tauranga Police put out an attractiveness about a man who was last looked upon surfing off Pāpāmoa Beach the other day.

Police seen a call from a concerned of the public who had seen a man surf near the Top Ten Holiday Park, over at Pāpāmoa about 5pm.

The surfer was when the time comes seen some distance offshore more or less 8pm.

Currently the member of the public was concerned because of his safety and called the arm of the law.

The Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club, two girls Coastguard vessels and two micro helicopters searched the area until midnight without a sighting of the surfer.

A surfer, Chris Peters, arrived at the beach at 8am this afternoon and saw what he understood were searchers on a small charter boat.

He expressed the surf was “tiny” associated with “harmless” this morning and he couldn’t ask how someone should get in trouble. However , there would be a bit of a drift to the right, my friend said.

Afterwards believed that the conditions were matching last night.

A complete reporter at the scene said there seems to be a lot of activity at Pāpāmoa bch this morning, with surf lifesaving and then dog walking groups.

Police are seeking information from anyone who saw the surfer possibly knows who he is, in case kwanten has made it safely back to shore.
