Education Minister Chris Hipkins has acknowledged currently the “unprecedented disruption” and extraordinary compétition faced by students this year earlier than NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship money exams begin on Monday.

“Extra technical support is in place for Auckland participants who faced a second lockdown, and people in other areas who were unable to show up at school due to the resurgence of Covid-19 in August, ” Hipkins said.

The minister accepted the increase from about 20, 000 students entered for digital assessments last year reflected the growth in internet based teaching and learning, which undergone accelerated this year.
