Sudden low intake blocks Auckland motorway lanes as soon as motorbike hits pedestrian

Two lanes on Auckland’s Northern Motorway are off-limits after a bike collided with a person.

Police said a street motorcycle struck a pedestrian at trois. 10pm between the McClymonts Rd on-ramp and Greville Road off-ramp by Albany.

Individuals who southbound lanes on the Northern Motorway were blocked.

Police said motorists should take solution routes where possible.

It was not immediately thoroughly clean if anyone was injured or how the pedestrian came to be on the North Sea shore motorway.

Waka Kotahi NZTA said a left southbound lane was blocked just after usually the Greville Rd southbound off-ramp.

“Please take extra care while passing and as well , expect significant delays, ” i would say the transport agency added in a twitter update.
