Taupo marina blaze: Pair of motorboats lost to cinders

Arranged of motorboats have been burned to a cinder in Taupo’s marina today, live stream black smoke across the Waikato township.

Witness Dawn Duncum, was at a friend’s place close to the Redoubt Rd marina when they determined plumes of smoke around 5pm.

Duncum alleged it looked like the blaze seasoned started in a smaller boat before dispersion to a larger neighbouring one.

“Hopefully they’re all insuring. ”

Duncum mentioned she could see Fire not to mention Emergency crews at the scene.
