Swimmers warned to stay out of rivers and lakes encouraging signs of toxic algae

The Manawatū-Whanganui regional council said its staff member test waterways regularly.

It asked people to stay out of some rivers with black or dark-brown slimy mat-like growth on the gallstones, which could be musty smelling a significant and to keep pets clear furthermore.
