Stock was pulled from food store shelves after a Dunedin man present a needle in his banana.

The Ministry concerning Primary Industries said it was analyzing after a man found a long, good needle when he bit into a clown bought from Countdown Andersons Bay.

His wife, the people that did not want to be identified, said she or he had bought the bunch of plums on Saturday.

The woman’s husband noticed the needle if he started eating the banana where you work — it was not visible from the out of doors, she said. They took unquestionably the bananas back to the store.

She said both Countdown and the ministry took the issue absolutely, and she was told the store ended up reviewing security camera footage.
