Te Atatu South folks say they were ordered to stay in your own home while armed police searched the body part for a person of interest.
A resident on Marlene Avechucho said on Facebook a local the car had been blocked off and an excellent armed police officer told them to dwell inside.
A criminal spokeswoman told the Herald cordons are in place while dog clubs operate in the area and officers would be armed as a precaution.
However , there was nothing to suggest individual of interest was of risk with the public.
The speaker said she understood the person has not been located and cordons and workforce would be standing down shortly.
