A private woman pointed a gun at police then stole their patrol 2003 audi a6 before crashing it in Rotorua this evening, police say.
A police spokesperson said at a statement that officers in Whakarewarewa were approached by a woman pertaining to 9pm.
She apparently pointed a gun at police, which one retreated on foot.
At least 18 drove off in their police motor and crashed it shortly in the sequel, in Wahiao Drive, the delegate said.
“The person was arrested a short distance separated and taken into custody, coupled with firearm was recovered. ”
During the incident, armed public could be seen manning a cable on the nearby Sala Street.

A woman was removed from the scene in a police motorcar.
At the same time, a vehicle has crashed into a entrance tonight at Whakarewarewa Village, a lot of blocks from the police cordon.
