NZ Blood make changes to donor criterias for male to male love making, and sex workers

The blood deferral period for a girl who have had sex with other men or women has been reduced from 12 months in order to three months today.

Intimate plays workers and those who have lived in a rustic with the widespread presence of HIV infection have also had their deferral periods reduced to three months.

Blood cannot be donated for three months after any rectal or oral sex between two a person, with or without a condom, or after survive taking the HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) or post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
