Chaotic Waipapa kidnapping, police officer shot at their: 3 people arrested

Three men have been lately charged over a violent kidnapping and also police officer being shot at at the Far North.

A male was kidnapped at gunpoint during State Highway 10 near Waipapa on October 26.

“He has gone through a terrifying challenge before he managed to escape as well as sought refuge from members of this community, ” police say.

Just hours later, this police officer was shot at on your State Highway 11 near the Puketona Junction with State Highway $13.

A car pulled out opposite police and stopped in the middle of the path.

“Before the police could get out of the patrol car, three males have exited their venue and have both presented firearms. A officer has immediately retreated unfortunately one shot was fired at the motor vehicle, which has damaged the windscreen.

“Thankfully she was not harmed, ” police say.

Police have carried out hunt warrants in Northland, Auckland, Tokoroa and Te Awamutu and have crude three men. “All three are hands down associated with the Rebels gang, ” cops say.

• This 44-year-old man is charged alongside kidnapping, aggravated robbery, arson, getting a firearm against a police officer, and consequently participating in an organised crime business and is appearing in the Hamilton Subdivision Court tomorrow.

• A 26-year-old man is costed with kidnapping, aggravated robbery, arson, using a firearm against a police agency, and participating in an organised crime group.

• Good 38-year-old male will appear in tribunal on the same charges soon, police said.
