The raisers of a car that was stolen over Dunedin late last night followed our thief as they could hear the car as it was being driven along the roads.
Acting Senior Sgt Anthony Bond said a Subaru WRX was stolen from outside the house a Port Chalmers property, over 12. 40am.
The proprietor called police, while their loved one followed the car as they could read it traveling along State Highway 88 towards Dunedin city.
Police cordoned off the area although the car did not appear, he acknowledged.
It was later positioned on Athol Place, in Ravensbourne, in addition investigations were ongoing.
