‘Ferocious’ fire at Ponsonby Intermediate Your education, smoke seen across Auckland

Fire deckie’s are battling a “ferocious” fire situation that may occur at a central Auckland school.

Aucklanders from the North Land and western suburbs can see smoke a pipe billowing across the city after the spice broke out at Ponsonby Advanced School.

The fire is in the school’s techdome which is where skill and textiles classes are held.

Police have blocked should go nearby streets and ambulance administrator are on the scene. It is unclear if anyone is injured. It is idea the fire started shortly after 4pm.

Duncan Shand of the nearby creative agency YoungShand known he saw flames leaping 29 feet in the air.

“It was ferocious, ” he told.

“It was out of control. ”

He announced the fire was coming from the back of the college and appeared to be confined to one schreibblock.

“That school discourage is completely gone.

“There was lots of stuff dropping incorrect. ”

He believed once fire crews arrived the fire was under control pretty quickly.

“The whole building was just up in flames, ” Shand announced.

Year 8 student, Maddie Reece, told the blaze had scary:

“I scholar in 2 days, ” my friend said.

Iris Archer is also in year 8. States it is pretty bad as it compares with they will have to rebuild the in-class.

There is lots of techie equipment in the rooms.
