A person has died after being hit by a vehicle in a driveway on Banks Peninsula.

The incident happened about 4pm today in Bayview Crescent, Duvauchelle.

“Sadly, the person died at the scene,” police said.

“The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.”
