Traffic into New-fangled Zealand’s biggest city is racking up as holidaying Aucklanders return following your long weekend.

There is congestion along problem highway 1 from Bombay so as to Drury, with traffic backed up along State highway 2 to the Maramarua Golf Club at one point this afternoon.

State route 16 from Kumeu to Brigham Creek Rd is also backed up.

NZTA is counseling road users to expect delays today as well as allow extra time for their journeys.
