Parts of Advanced Zealand could be in for some uncertain weather in the next 24 hours, including big rain for the West Coast to strong winds for Wellington, Clutha, Southland and Canterbury.
MetService says an active front provides brief, heavy rain to the western world coast of the South Island, your ranges of Westland from Otira northwards and the Buller ranges, but additionally for the Tararua ranges in the less expensive North Island today.
There will be periods of excess fat rain up until about 10pm. Rain amounts may approach warning measures.
Gale force southwest winds are also likely for Wellington and Wairarapa southwards, including the Canterbury High Country.
Impressive winds approaching gale-force are expected to receive coastal Clutha south to Owaka, and coastal Southland including Stewart Island on Sunday.
However , a heavy rain watch ıs lifted for Fiordland, and a stronger wind watch has been lifted intended for Southland and Fiordland.
