The first offshore international enrollees since March 2020 have found EIT for a nursing course subsequent to being granted a ‘critical purpose’ exception.

Another student Gines Cabahug, a four-year emergency department nurse, was reunited with his long-term companion who came to Hawke’s Bay in the form of CAP nurse two years ago and it now working at the Hawke’s Fresh Hospital.

EIT executive director international Philippa Collins said, in semester 1 over 2020, EIT had more than 750 new and returning international english language learners “under the most extraordinary circumstances”.

“The 2020 crucial student experience has been challenging for anyone.

“However, every international students continue to show vast resilience and a desire to look to the longer term and make the most of their time with us upon EIT and in New Zealand. in

EIT has additionally welcomed the January 14 Administration announcement allowing 1000 returning foreign students from April.

“We are now engaged in practice to identify and nominate eligible followers who we hope will be able to study with our value this year, ” Jones said.
