A woman whose car was first taken and then badly damaged through an armed incident earlier this week did not have insurance.

Police investigators are trying to piece together a timeline of projects after a man allegedly shot about police in the Manawatū and Horowhenua on Monday.

They have appealed for witnesses to step forward and speak with these products, specifically those who saw two motors being driven erratically.

The first is virtually any silver Mitsubishi sedan in Foxton township and the second a green Mazda Demio which travelled from Foxton and on to the Feilding area.

Victim Support have been consoling the woman who had her car secured during the incident.

A relative says she was backing in her driveway on Monday evening when another vehicle swerved facing her before a man jumped through behind the wheel.

The outfitted man allegedly commanded her vehicle to get to Feilding , her tale is one of many facets in an incident which ended in a new offender allegedly firing two golf shots at police.

Your own 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged with numerous offences for the reason that incident unfolded.

The particular ordeal isn’t over for the lovely women, however.

“She addressed herself extremely well in a very stressful needs and we commend her for this, inch Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Dork Thompson says.

“Sadly the repercussions are on-going for her.

Police have previously tested they were first alerted to the car accident after reports of a vehicle truly driven erratically in Foxton.

The man allegedly failed to leave and police didn’t initiate an absolute pursuit but made inquiries regarding vehicle.

He ended up driving backside past police and allegedly gunning a shot at an officer, who was genuinely injured.

It was in the near future afterwards when the Foxton woman originated leaving her home and came to be approached.

The man would go on to lead police on a “wild goose chase” – according to another resident – before eventually having an accident.

Thompson says the a bit of the charges the man is facing is definitely a firearm against a criminal officer, aggravated robbery, possession of the particular pistol and a number of driving offences.

He has been remanded in custody until January twenty-eight with interim name suppression.

The man required hospital treatment as soon as the incident but has since recently transferred into Corrections custody.
