Retreat road toll climbs to four after couple die in Southland truck and motorcycle crash

Two people have died upon a crash between a truck and a biker in Southland.

A men died at the scene and a mum to be later died in hospital soon after being flown to Dunedin Emergency room in a critical condition.

Their deaths bring the Christmas/New Especially holiday road toll to six to eight, two more than the 2019/2020 total.
