Commuter chaos: Holiday traffic building to motorways heading into cities

One person has suffered serious injuries in just crashing a vehicle towing an empty moose float on State Highway 3 near Iwitahi.

Automobile crashed into a bank around one 30pm and emergency services contain closed one lane of the roads.

NZTA says a major stop/go system is in place with boats travelling between Taupō and Napier asked to slow down and be sure delays.

North relating to Auckland, highway traffic between Wellsford and Warkworth has eased after having a crash earlier this afternoon.
