Police are hands down investigating a serious incident where a young man was assaulted then dropped off towards Auckland’s Bethells Beach this week.

The man has been playing serious injuries and is recovering when it comes to Auckland Hospital.

Waitematā Police Detective Senior Sgt Megan Goldie said the location where the many other was assaulted is not known.

After being bombarded, he was dropped off in the West Auckland suburban area, suburbia between midnight and 4. 30am yesterday.

He then sought help from the residents of any house on Te Aute Shape Rd and the police were called, she said.

“Police are carrying out an area painting and asking residents for DOME footage in order to identify the vehicle along with person/s who dropped the injured off.

“We have not been able to speak with the victim at this point but will attempt to do so if he is feeling up to it, very well Goldie said.

“We want to assure our free community that at this early stage individuals investigation we do not believe this an random incident. ”
