A man holidaying near the Rotorua’s hot pools has been playing a broken bone and craters on his face after an attack.

The Wellingtonian, who would not want his name used, was with his fantastic friends who had come from across the country that will bike in Rotorua over the weekend.

He said six delete word decided to go to the thermal pools to wind down after a long day of skateboarding on Saturday, but it was close to 11pm and many of the businesses were closed properly so they went to a pool within Wai-o-Tapu.

“We thought they were a family and we didn’t think there would be any hassle… They were chatting and we were also chattering, ” he said.
