Fire crews are at the thing of a fire which broke out in a two-storey house in Queenstown this morning.

A Fire as Emergency New Zealand spokesman stated that crews were alerted to the criticism in Nugget Knob, Goldfield Extremes, about 10. 30am, when a woodworker in a rubbish truck noticed a property on fire.

Crews landed to find a large two-storey house good involved in fire in the roof position.

Four crews, between Queenstown and Frankton, were remains to be working on the blaze and a Command it to Unit with further breathing machines was on its way from Alexandra, my friend said.

Four people were in the residence when the fire moving, but all of them made it out unscathed.

Their neighbour said he tried to fight the fireplace with his garden hose before firefighters arrived on the scene.

Crews managed to get the fireplace under control quickly, he said.
