A fleeing driver was delivered to a dramatic stop after the individual sped through several West Auckland suburbs before his car was most spiked on the motorway.
Police attempted to stop the driver in the vehicle that was said to be “acting suspiciously” around Pt Chevalier about 1 ) 46am.
“[The] driver failed to stop for police and fled the area, ” a spokesman exclaimed.
The Police Eagle heli-copter helped to keep an eye on the used truck or suv as officers on the ground chased that it down the Northwestern motorway.

A witness divulged the Herald the driver was a adult man who had been wearing a balaclava and that he used to be only brought to a stop when law laid road spikes.
“Officers surrounded the vehicle, pulled the child from the driver’s seat and imprisoned him, ” he said.
The witness said representatives appeared to show a “large involving interest” in the car’s boot as well were seen searching inside it at the life.
The car was came by about 200m before the Huruhuru overbridge in the suburb of Massey.
Police confirmed the ?ncident did not relate to the Wellsford murder investigation – in which officers continue to hunt Desmond Lawrence Bourne, diverse, and Serene Tilsley, 21, next to the murder of 37-year-old Zane Smith, of Rodney.
