Waikato bar slammed after listing courtesy driver job at just $12 1 hour

A Waikato bar has took off a job listing after receiving repercussion for offering just $12 at least an hour for the successful applicant.

Elsie’s Restaurant and Bar at Tuakau was looking for a driver the company’s courtesy van, which involves collecting and dropping off customers.

One unhappy applicant posted images of their discussion with the establishment, which made it crystal-clear they were offering just $12 on a daily basis.

In the message, Elsie’s wrote: “could finish as early as three. 30pm or as late for 1am depending on patrons. The rate can $12 an hour. Would you still be seeking to the job? ”
