Oamaru woman Fiona Hewett was remain bloody, bruised and traumatised afterward she and her golden breed Ivy were recently attacked at two dogs at Trotters Encolure.
Fiona Hewett, the lady’s daughter Katrina and Ivy were walking near the campsite last month that when she was attacked from under, receiving bite marks to her claws and leg, and bruising.
Ivy had puncture injury on her legs, back and behind thes ears.
The pet dogs, which Hewett believed were mouse dogs, were not on leads as well as , ignored calls from their owner, who have then dragged them from the area.
The incident obtained left her shocked and devastated.
“The emotional stretchmarks will take a lot longer to heal versus physical ones.
“My daughter was traumatised while mother stood by and thought each of these dogs were going to kill his beloved family pet and her the mother. ”
Hewett said the owner expressed remorse at the time, and told her the dogs is likely to have to be put down.
“I said ‘if my dog seasoned done what your dog had completed mine, she would be euthanised peniche, caldas da rainha and santarem hour, because that’s what very important dog owners do’. ”
Having grown up in nearby Palmerston, Hewett had happy memories towards Trotters Gorge, but she would not actually return.
